Images: A How-To Guide

How can I submit my images?

You can upload your images via the Select Your Image in the Product Options section of the product you're ordering. If the Creation uses multiple images, there will be multiple Select Your Image forms available.

  • Use the Browse  button.

  • Locate the image on your computer - .bmp or .jpg (.jpeg or .JPG) only - MAXIMUM 2.5 mb.

  • Hit Open to attach the file

  • Then hit the Upload Image button and you're finished.

  • You will see a preview of your image, if it is not the correct one, simply repeat the process.

If you do not have a digital image and need to have an image scanned, then please see below for Scanning Instructions.

Image resolution?
Every digital image is made up of pixels. The number of pixels determines the resolution. The more pixels, the clearer the image (assuming it is in focus to begin).  Image quality is often measured by Dots Per Inch (dpi). For best results, we recommend images that are at least a resolution 300 dpi

  • Ornaments: image should be at least 3" x 2" - loosely cropped

  • Pyrographs: image should be at least 5" x 7" (preferably 8"x 10") - loosely cropped

  • Marble: Image should be at least 5" x 7" - loosely cropped

By leaving your image "loosely cropped", it allows us the flexibility to edit your image as needed to make your final creation as attractive as possible.

Scanning Instructions?
Be sure to scan the original image, and not a copy whenever possible

  • Scan at 100%

  • Scan at "Best" level

  • Save as .jpg

Having trouble?
Feel free to contact us through our "contact us" page and we'll be happy to help.

Please try to avoid using the following types of images - they generally do not reproduce very well:

  • appear out of focus or blurred

  • too dark or too light

  • improperly scanned (grainy or washed out)

  • low-resolution images - copied from a website or some camera phones

NOTE: firewoodcreations.com cannot be responsible for the quality of the finished Creation if a low-quality image is submitted.  We will always do our best to "clean-up" and make your image best as possible.
